Nick Elliott

Technical Lead

Hi, I’m Nick Elliott, the new Technical Lead for BMTC.

Professionally, I work as a Service Delivery Analyst for the Woodland Trust, providing a prompt and effective ICT support function for both our staff and external stakeholders. Alongside this, I also work as a freelance sound and lighting engineer, supporting local venues and organisations with the technical elements of their events.

Once the curtain goes up, you would not usually find me on the BMTC stage, I am more often behind the scenes, managing the technical aspects of our productions from the control desks. Outside of BMTC, I have also worked as a stage manager, book cover and backstage crew, giving me a real appreciation of how many different elements must come together to make a show run smoothly.

I joined the committee in January 2025 because I see huge potential in BMTC, not only in the quality of its productions, but in the important role a society like ours can play within the wider community.

My aim is to help strengthen the society’s presence, showcase the people behind it, and ensure more people see what BMTC has to offer.

I am excited to bring more technical innovation to our productions, develop our digital platforms, and work with the rest of the committee to build a stronger, more visible BMTC, supporting the continued growth of the society both on and off the stage.
